Hi Im Nick..Im 17 years old, Ill be 18 in June [Just liek that girl up there^ :O]. I live in New Jersey and I love MMOs .
My first MMO was Monster and Me, it was a great game b4 it turned to crap. Engputer, Iono if you remember me, but I was NeoNick back then., either way, I remember YOU :3

And Eng, I do agree on what you said about how people treat MMOs as a solo thing..kinna ironic really.

I doubt we have the technology to make an MMO with the same features as .hack, the headset, the body scanner, the ability to make it feel like you're not wearing a headset but actually in the game, the comas.......wait, we don't want those lol. I think an MMO like .hack would be the perfect one, almost completely based on interacting with other people.

Anyway, what you just mentioned there is my current goal in life. I wanan figure out how to manipulate the functions in your brain in order to make it seem to you that you are infact doing things other then you're actually ding. Im still young, so I havent studied much, but ILl be going to college soon and maybe i could help progress things a bit ~
I think the secret might lay in somehow control static impulses in the brain to technically confuse it into thinking otherwise. The largest problem is that, well, if you think you die - would you? O.o
Obvious that concept has been used, but its not full of crap

I think it would only be possible if your consciousness were hooked up to a program that was the game. The game would have rules set so you can't just do anything. There would be no use for a controller as whatever you do is based on your thoughts (ex. if you want to log out you simply think it, want to use a skill you think it). The only problem is if a hacker rewrote the game to where you can't log out and you would essentially be stuck there until someone changes the game back. Sounds kind of far-fetched but possible if science can advance enough to fully understand how the brain works.

I find that itll eventually be possible, just, chances are, it wont be in our lifetime..or our kids, grandchildren, and etc. ^^:;;

It might be in our lifetime, the technology could be found overnight or within thousands of years or possibly never. It all depends on us, unless we get some outside help from aliens or something

Actually we do.  Believe me, I did a research paper on virtual technology.  It's there, it just needs to be slightly improved and commercialized.  In other words, it might take a while before it's inexpensive enough for the public to use.

Who's up for making a guild in game? :3

You sure all the technology is there? I'm talking about the whole connecting your consciousness with the game and doing the actions by thinking them. And I'm up for starting a guild.

Yeah, the stuff is there.  Right now it's used mostly for phobia therapy. (People that survived plane crashes and such) Granted, a lot of people will probably be against it, but I think it'll still come given a few years.

Not sure what we could name it, but I'm totally up for that mission We should probably wait until we know more about the game to decide on a name so that it could go along with the story.
