I started playing MMORPG since Stone Ages was released until this very present day. Therefore, I can proudly consider myself as a fan of MMORPG, and I believe I have a clear view of MMORPG's trend. Although graphics and complexity of games has improved drastically over the years, but apparently I have noticed an obvious change in games today. The meaning ‘fun’ no longer exists in games. MMORPG are parts of leisure, fun, but all these values are no longer instilled in games, as more profit-driven games production companies has changed their focus.

One of the best examples of successful games I ever played is World of Warcraft. However after the introduction of the WOW into the gaming industry, I realized that the other following games that have been released projects and shows similar features and characteristics of the particular game.

Games are now viewed as a “past time”/”time killer” activity, no longer an activity that we used to enjoyed. Additionally, a player from a MMORPG had commented sharply that “he feels like he is working for the gaming company” reinforces this idea on gaming nowadays.

MOST games now are concentrated on grinding levels, doing quest, and going for guild wars. It has become so common in games that this phenomenon has gave a distorted perception about MMORG. People neglecting chats and gradually no longer values interactions and friendship due to heavy quests, players also feels that activities that are once used to be done in team are better done alone. From what I observed, even players start to open multiple accounts to do team quests! It’s always a “one-man army” or solo nowadays. GMs used to be the chat leaders of mud games. Today, however, even if we a lucky enough to catch a GM in other games, we hardly get any response from them.

Players start to isolate each other! This that the true motive or a MMORPG? Massive multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG) is a game to promote INTERACTION, a virtual place for players from all parts of the globe, and NOT to promote ISOLATION. In the legend of Golden Plume, I hope we can bring back these long lost values that are almost being forgotten – “the joy of gaming, FUN~!” It’s a FUN-FILLING game where we will meet NEW FRIENDS!

Very nice post, yeah its so true that mmorpgs theese days dont have that special feel.. and people dont RP and interact as much as people used to.

I have faith that Legend of Golden Plume will be different .. and im sure we will have a awesome and friendly community.

Well, my name is Nathan. I'm 17 and from New Orleans and like to play MMOs and competitive console games like Brawl and a few FPSs. The .hack// games are what got me into MMOs so I would say that is my favorite game. I usually play realistic looking MMOs but I am taking a break from those hardcore grinders and want a good interaction based game which I think this game will be. Hopefully I will get to meet alot of you people from these boards ingame really soon

My used name is Junior and i use the "alias" Lonewolf (Im 16, Just turned), Been gamin for a while now. Met Eng back in '06 - '07 during the Eudemons period. Ive been near through them all when it comes to MMORPGs, Most Free ones and Some Pay ones (WoW, Lineage) After i had retired from EO after almost 2 years, I had nothing to do so i was focused on my School Work. Week or Two after i got a message from one of the Former EO Mods telling me that Eng had started a new game & that he thinks I should register (Manitou for anyone that knew him). I came to the early PDO forums as the 17th Member, at the time most were Ex-Mods from EO which Eng had spoke to and told em to come and play PDO.

So I signed up and played in the PDO Closed Beta, I was made Mod during the earlier stages and still am (Just not here). Im currently playin MWO but not very actively, I can blame school for that, Since then ive helped out whenever I could.

Ive already played LGP and I really think you'll all like it, Many features for you to play with. Pet system is really cool (I wont reveal anything now for you, But im sure you'll like it.)

My two brothers got me into gaming when I was just 6 years old. I've been introduced to MMO's at 2003. My first MMORPG was Pristontale and I really enjoyed my days back then.

I've basically tried every free MMORPG that exists in this world. Well, ok, that's a little bit exaggerating, but I did tried out all the English version of the MMORPG though.

And I agree with Engputer's post. The MMORPG world is slowly breaking apart. I noticed that a lot of GM's in other games doesn't give a crap about their players, and the community of some games are getting worst by each day. However, that doesn't seem like it's the problem in this forum and I'm happy about that. <3

I hope that I could get a chance to play all of you and have a great time. ^_^

Hey guys,

Call me Senuma. I, like pinmomster, am an older gamer (33). I live in Saskatchewan, Canada and I am a female gamer (gasp! I know, its a shock we do exist). I would have to say I have been playing mmos since I was in my twenties,  I have tried out many, many mmos.  Guild Wars and WOW being my first ones.  

I have recently gotten into the testing part of things, where I look for any games in development or beta and sign up to test them out.  I really enjoy that and it feels good knowing you are helping out by making the game as good as it can get by finding bugs and making suggestions.  I won't list all the games I've tested, but the most recent are :  Neosteam, Rohan, Florensia, AOA, Sho, World of Kung Fu, T-Crew, Magic World Online, Deco, Shaiya, 12 sky, Requiem: Bloodymare, Holic, Orka, Talisman, and many many more.

Looking forward to seeing you all in game soon

Name's Melody, love gaming, been running around playing a few CBs and OBs (Neosteam, Florensia, Domo, Mabinogi, Warrior Epic, etc..) recently.  My previous line of work was beta testing console games, so, I suppose it's safe to say I've grown up in gaming (I blame my brother).  Looking forward to trying this cute looking game, and if possible, dragging the hubby into it (he's a gamer too), as well as my other gaming buds from previous guilds.

im 17 years old i like MMos since i startedto play WoW but the dropped it and started to play free mmos.
I also played .hack and loved it even though is for ps2, so i started to look for a game the look somehting like that but i havent found antyhting, manny mmos are nice but the players make the game to go down.
i participated in many CB tests: Fiesta,DoMo,Mabinogi,Neosteam,Florensia,Grand Chase USA and SEA,and many other games^^
Right now i dont really know much about this game but the forum people seem to be nice so i want to try it , elso because it looks so cute

I know how you feel about searching for an MMO like .hack. The only hope I've had is an old one that was actually based on the game but it was only in Japan and it failed after a few years. Hopefully when  technology evolves enough we can have the headsets and everything.

yea but i dont really care about headset but if u look at the wii it looks something similar to
the cantrols of the game ^^
hmm o well i just hope this game is fun i already wanna try it
